Our Policies
Attendance and Cancellation Policy
We believe that your time and ours is very valuable. Because of this, we ask for 24 hours notice when sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled. We also understand that unexpected events may arise, include acute illness or other emergencies, but for any non-emergency, any session cancelled with less than 24 hours will result in a charge being made to your account. This bill, unfortunately, cannot be sent to outside providers (e.g., DDD, insurance, etc.).
In the case of inclement weather, you will be contacted by your therapist, or you may check social media for full practice closures.
Non-Discrimination Policy
At Riverstone Therapies, we are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for all individuals. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
Our practice complies with all applicable laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, ensuring equal access to our services for all individuals. We are dedicated to fostering an environment where every client receives compassionate, high-quality care in a safe and affirming space.
If you have any concerns about discrimination, accessibility, or your rights, please contact us at info@riverstontherapies.com or at 973-315-7824 so we can work to address your needs and maintain an environment of dignity and respect for all.
Illness Policy
For the health and safety of all clients and staff, we ask that clients stay home if they are experiencing symptoms of any communicable illness or virus, such as fever, cough, or fatigue. We also request that clients remain symptom-free for at least 24 hours before returning to therapy sessions. This policy helps ensure that our practice remains a safe and healthy environment for everyone. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in supporting this important safety measure.
Confidentiality Statement
At Riverstone Therapies, we are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of all client information. Any personal, health-related, or therapy-related information you provide to us will be kept strictly confidential in accordance with all applicable laws (including HIPAA) and ethical standards (via professional and ethical standards from therapists’ professional organizations). We will not disclose any of your information to outside parties without your explicit consent, unless required by law. Your trust is important to us, and we prioritize your privacy as a core aspect of our practice.
Additionally, no photography or video recording of clients or staff is permitted by clients, their families, or staff, unless written consent is given for purposes expressed by Riverstone Therapies.

We believe that high-quality therapy is fundamental to achieving positive outcomes for our clients. To ensure that we consistently meet the highest standards of care, we establish, monitor, and evaluate quality assurance practices. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we will annually ask clients to complete satisfaction surveys. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us enhance the effectiveness of our services and ensure that we are meeting your needs.
